Historic manor in South Tyrol
PFI International Ltd are proud to present this historic manor in South Tyrol, San Lorenzo, Italy.
Far away from stress and unrest lies the historical residence “Schwarzhorn”, which has shaped the landscape of the San Martino fraction near San Lorenzo di Sebato for centuries
and was first mentioned in a document in 1472. In an idyllic secluded location between the Castello di S. Michele and Castel Badìa, this manor house is enthroned on a hill overlooking the entire middle Val Pusteria and its mountain peaks of the nearby Dolomites. Its oriel towers are visible from afar and lend this residence its special stately character. Entering the residence, one is immediately captivated by a sense of spaciousness, due to the extensive corridor with cross vaults and the large, light-flooded bedrooms on the ground floor, which are furnished with wooden ceilings and parquet floors in the traditional South Tyrolean-style. A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor with a central hallway, which can also be used as a dining room and is located between the kitchen, living room, office and another room with a traditional oven. In the attic a part of the living space has been converted into a small granny flat. A further part can still be arranged and developed after own conceptions. The building was completely renovated in several stages up to the year 1998 and adapted to today’s technical requirements. The residence also has an outbuilding with garage. This offers space to realize his own ideas. On the beautiful, spacious property a swimming pool or a private park can be realized. Located only 5km from the large ski runs of Plan De Corones with 120km of ski runs, this ski resort was voted the best ski resort in 2018. There are also plenty Michelin star restaurants nearby. Be inspired by this unique object!
The village of San Martino is a fraction of the municipality of San Lorenzo di Sebato and is situated at the confluence of the rivers Gadèra and Rienza at the entrance to the Val Badia. San Lorenzo, with its 3,900 inhabitants, enjoys a lively village life, which mainly takes place around the main square and the small bustling centre. Those looking for a little more variety can reach the city of Brunico in a few minutes by car and can stroll in the old town in one of the most beautiful shopping streets in South Tyrol. Thanks to its central location, San Lorenzo is also an ideal starting point for numerous excursions and hikes. For example, the Val Pusteria cycle path leads directly through the village and in winter, active recreational sports enthusiasts will find what they are looking for in the Plan de Corones ski area, just a few minutes away. A connection with ski busses to the valley station Riscone as well as to the train station in Perca offers a pleasant possibility to reach the mountain car-free. Due to its proximity to the Val Badia, the Alta Badia ski area and the “Sellaronda” can be reached in a short driving time. The municipality of San Lorenzo is also one of the most important contemporary witnesses in the Val Pusteria from an archaeological point of view and was once the centre of the Roman administrative district of “Sebatum”. Other historical monuments, such as Castello di S. Michele, Castel Badìa and the Maria Saalen Church, give an idea of the significance of the place. Urban character surrounded by rural alpine flair in the heart of the Val Pusteria and not far from the Dolomite World Heritage Site characterises this village.
